Shoe Shopping Spree in Old San Juan

Beauty, Fashion, Old San Juan, Resort Living

Last week I went to visit my friends Mariangie Franco and Ricky Lozada at Camino Zapatería which is a shoe store that sells the most comfortable and yet trendy shoes around.  I love their casual look.  You just have to park your car at the Doña Fela parking lot or literally cross the street if you arrive in a Cruise Ship to Old San Juan.  It is located at Recinto Sur Street #257, Old San Juan.  It is open from 6 to 9 pm.  The store has such a nice ambiance. Great air conditioning (which is a plus because Old San Juan gets hot and humid). The decoration is very rustic.  Lots of wood and typical Old San Juan tiled floors.  The architect who designed the store is César Bobonis and I believe he did an amazing job.

So I sat, had a cup of coffee with these very nice couple,  relaxed a bit and started this photo shoot which I know you will enjoy.  If you are going to do serious walking, these are the shoes to wear.  Love their style.

We took a break went to the restaurant/cafeteria/coffee shop next door called Cuatro Sombras and had a delicious croissant sandwich and a most amazing coffee!  Took some more photos with different outfits that work nicely with these shoes.

This is resort living at its best!  I truly recommend these shoes to anyone who wants to feel comfortable and yet fashionable.

They are really walking friendly shoes.  You’ll see me wearing them!

Coconut Water

Fashion, Health, Travel

I love coconut water. Straight from the coconut. It has more potassium than several bananas. Full of electrolytes. This was a particular hot and humid day. I drank it all. It hydrated my body immediately. Wonderful.

Old San Juan

Fashion, Travel

Old San Juan is located on the island of Puerto Rico, about 35 miles from the east end. It is one of my favorite places.  It dates back to the 16th and 17th centuries when Puerto Rico was a Spanish possession. It is a small island in itself connected to the main one by three bridges. I absolutely love it!  When visiting Puerto Rico it is definitely a “must see.”

This photo session took place in some of its lovely cobblestone alleys.  We came across a beautiful Boutique Hotel called CASABLANCA, where we shot some more pictures, which I will post very soon.

My gala dress is from a very well-known local designer called Lisa Cappalli. Beautiful French laces mixed together to create an original unique collage with delicate touches of sparkle. Louboutin shoes.

Sure hope you enjoy it!
